Uganda Mission

Churches in Uganda have been praying for help in reaching their communities with the Gospel. God is answering their prayers by sending in missionaries.

He sent them us.

Heath care is almost non-existent to people in this area, and having medical clinics sponsored by the local Christian churches would provide a great service to their communities. The people in this area have never had free medical clinics, and the local pastors knew that it would draw large crowds of people to their

churches. Their first priority was to share the gospel with everyone who came for medical attention. God was faithful. Thousands of people heard the gospel and received prayer, food and valuable medical attention.

God was faithful in providing medicine to an overwhelming number of people. We could not come close to seeing everyone who came for medical attention. Medical supplies were limited due to logistical issues with suppliers. But even as we rationed medications we always seemed to have enough to meet the needs of the people we treated. We were amazed to find medicine we thought had run out of the day before. And once again, God was faithful. By the last medical clinic we were amazed to find two bags filled with additional medicine.  We had so much left over we had to find places to donate it to. God was at work on our behalf once again. It was amazing!

Another part of the mission trip included bringing audio Bibles to the teachers in a local Christian School. These teachers instruct about 250 kids. 140 of them orphans. Many of the pastors and teachers have never had a Bible in their language, and since many of the people don’t read, the audio Bibles are creating a whole new way to share the gospel and teach God’s word. The look on their faces to finally have the word of God in their native language was inspiring and revealing. The word of God is a precious possession. Our God is faithful.

God used our team to serve hundreds of people through medical clinics and reach thousands with the gospel who have never heard it before. God is able to change an entire region. And He was faithful. He used our team in spite of our doubts and in spite of our fears. We learned that God is just waiting for us to step out in faith, to trust His word and admit we can’t do this on our own. He was faithful every step of the way. He kept us safe traveling over 1,000 miles of dangerous African terrain, He protected us as we treated the sick and gave us the words to say that encouraged and comforted thousands of people. We put our lives in God’s hands, as we have never done before. We completely trusted God to use and protect us. God provided in every circumstance.
