I can't think of a better time to start being a good neighbor. With everything that has happened around us in the last 2 months....If you ever doubted you needed good neighbors, the question has been answered with a resounding YES!
I know it sounds simplistic but the best way to find a good neighbor is to be a good neighbor. As we have discovered, anyone who considers themselves a follower of Jesus has a clear directive. We love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and we love our neighbor as ourselves.
Honestly if that is not the focus of your life and you claim to be a follower of Jesus...harsh truth, you are doing it wrong!
I know that is not your intention but life happens, things get crazy and when everything is tuned upside down...it can be hard to consider what is happening around you.
One of the most powerful things you can do to get on track and stay on track with loving God and loving your neighbor is to pray for your neighbors. Real prayers...not the, just though of you or my thoughts and payers are with you kind of "prayers", but real prayers to God for your neighbors.
Pray that God would bless them with health, safety and provide for their needs. Pray for their marriage and their kids. And persistently and consistently pray for their salvation. Pray they would become followers of Jesus and God would use you in the process. I mean the mission of our church is to bring people back to God...this makes so much sense!
